Case Study: WorldCF
WorldCF is the global leader in advocacy for excellent craniofacial patient care, education and research, as well as the primary resource for philanthropic support.
My role on this project was to collaborate with the front end designer to take static HTML/SASS files and turn them into fully dynamic Twig templates for the client.
We used the Laravel Mix plugin which made compiling SASS and JS a breeze. I also implemented Fancybox for image siders and video lightboxes. Other JS tasks included building out the main menu's dropdown functionality and adding accordions for the FAQ page.
This site was built using Craft 4 and features a handful of my preferred plugins (Navigation, ImageOptimize, Linkit, Neo). We used Freeform for easy form management and integrated with Postmark for seamless email testing and sending.
One feature that was icing on the cake was the use of the Redactor Custom Styles and Control Panel CSS plugins. One problem our team found with the standard Redactor plugin is that rich text editing fields don't reflect what text will actually look like on the front end when content editors are creating pages. We created a custom Redactor JSON file to provide a bespoke editing bar which provides targeted text colors and size formatting so that editors are now able to acurately preview how text will be formatted on the front end while editing.
